We can offer this 335mm disc kit which
retains the standard 4 pot calipers,
which are a very good powerful caliper.
The kit includes caliper spacers which
widen the caliper to fit the thicker
disc, caliper mounting brackets which
bring the caliper out from the hub assembly
which enables the fitting of the bigger
disc, and larger than average pads which
take advantage of the wider swept area
on the disc.
The discs can either be supplied grooved,
drilled or grooved and drilled. Due
to the heat that is generated on the
track, if you are going to take part
in track days, we would recommend the
grooved only. Please state at time of
ordering.
The pads supplied can be either Mintex
1144 or Ferodo DS2500. Please state
at time of ordering.

Fitting kit to fit the 2001 onwards
rear 290mm vented brake discs and Subaru
2 pot caliper to the Classic Subaru
Impreza. This is a straight forward
bolt on kit , the only modification
is the removing of the stone guard come
heat shield spot welded onto the backplate
, as the brake discs are larger they
will catch.
The bracket kit is bolted to the backplate
, the brake discs are a direct fit onto
the hubs and handbrake shoes , fit the
calipers in place and bolt them to the
brackets, all bolts and spacer are supplied
in the kit. |

ADVANTAGES
The wider slot actually draws cool air
across the pad surface keeping pads
and rotors cooler. They also expel dust,
dirt and hot gases better than fine
slots which eventually fill with rust
and scale and become ineffective in
our opinion. The blind drilled holes
break down surface gases when braking
from speed but do not weaken the rotor
cross section as can happen with through
drilling, thereby lessening the chance
of rotors cracking over time and heavy
use. |
